OJAJA CALLChat Launches a Free Chat and Calling App Built for Nigeria

UNITED STATES — November 2, 2026 — OJAJA CALLChat today announced the launch of its chat and calling app at ojajacallchat.app. Designed and built in the United States with Nigeria as its first market, OJAJA CALLChat gives people a free and simple way to text, share photos and voice notes, and make voice and video calls with friends and family.

Personal use of OJAJA CALLChat is free. Members can chat one-to-one or in groups, send photos and voice messages, see when messages are read, and make voice and video calls. A friend can be added to a call that is already going, with up to four people on one call, and whoever starts a group call can mute or unmute everyone.

Safety sits at the centre of the app. Anyone can find and follow members, but only accepted friends can text or call each other, so strangers cannot message or ring someone out of the blue. Members can block and report others, turn on two-step sign-in with an authenticator app, and passwords already known to be leaked online are refused at sign-up.

The app also brings touches made for its community: its own purple-and-gold OJAJA keyboard with emojis including 🇳🇬 and 👑, song ringtones, and call and message alerts on the phone's home screen.

For businesses, OJAJA CALLChat offers simple in-app advertising: a flyer ad costs $25 and a video ad costs $50 for seven days, charged in Naira. Ads appear on the chats page and on a clear panel during calls.
